Roma Show Rural Ambassador Competition is new to 2019!

Roma Show Society is looking for males and females to enter in the 2019 Roma Show Rural Ambassador Competition.

If you are between the age of 20 to 30 years old and have a strong commitment to the rural industries then we want you to put your hand up! The aim of the Rural Ambassador competition is to highlight the importance of young people in rural and regional Queensland.  The award identifies those people actively involved in their local Show, who have sound knowledge of current rural issues affecting their local area, Queensland and Australia.

The aware seeks young people who symbolise the rural spirit - people with vitality who are forward thinking and with a passion for the land and local agricultural shows.

There is not an entry fee to enter the competition but each contestant must  raise $100 minimum in fund raising which will be paid to the Roma Show Society.

The competition is run on four levels, the local Show winner progresses to a Sub-Chamber final where the winner competes in the State Final held during the Royal Queensland Show (EKKA).  The winner of the State Final then competes at the National Final held at the State Royal Show.

Important to remember that the competition is not a beauty or intelligence contest! The contestants will be judged on general items in the areas of- knowledge of the Maranoa community, commitment to Roma Show, life goals, personality, deportment, speech and manners.

There will be some great prizes, so join in the fun and email our Rural Ambassador coordinator, Tia Bentley,  as soon as possible.
