The aware seeks young people who symbolize the rural spirit - people with vitality who are forward thinking and with a passion for the land and local agricultural shows.

There is not an entry fee to enter the competition but each contestant must  raise $100 minimum in fund raising which will be paid to the Roma Show Society.

The competition is run on four levels, the local Show winner progresses to a Sub-Chamber final where the winner competes in the State Final held during the Royal Queensland Show (EKKA).  The winner of the State Final then competes at the National Final held at the State Royal Show.

Important to remember that the competition is not a beauty or intelligence contest! The contestants will be judged on general items in the areas of- knowledge of the Maranoa community, commitment to Roma Show, life goals, personality, deportment, speech and manners.
